Modern construction techniques and the perfect sealing of the most advanced windows and doors make the building envelope practically airtight, with ever higher standards of energy efficiency. In order to obtain excellent thermal and acoustic insulation, however, the natural ventilation of the rooms has been eliminated, with a consequent decrease in air quality. It is therefore necessary to provide for a mechanical ventilation system that allows continuous and controlled air exchange in all rooms, so as to protect people’s health while at the same time responding to energy issues.

The Schüco VentoTherm ventilation devices, integrated in the windows, are a highly efficient solution for decentralised ventilation with heat recovery. With VentoTherm, the stale air from inside the building passes through a recovery device which absorbs the heat before it is transferred outside. At the same time the cold air from outside the building, passing through the same device, is filtered and preheated with the heat recovered from the expelled indoor air, achieving maximum energy efficiency and high living comfort.

The Schüco DCS (Door Control System) control system, fully integrated in the profile, is based on criteria of maximum modularity, combining a high level of design with state-of-the-art technology. Schüco DCS is divided into two high- performance product families and includes both the access control system and the emergency door security system. The access control system, in particular, includes card readers, push-button panels, video cameras and biometric devices, which allow the door to be unlocked only by means of the fingerprints of authorised persons.

The main advantages of the new system are based on the innovative structure of the Schüco ADS SimplySmart profile. Significantly improved static characteristics that allow, for example, larger doors to be built, have been combined with excellent energy efficiency, optimising weather tightness and insulation. To simplify the depth range, the doors of the Schüco ADS SimplySmart system platform are available in selected basic depths, providing a high level of flexibility. In terms of design, Schüco ADS SimplySmart allows a surprising and almost infinite variety of uses and styles: the aesthetics of the new aluminium door series can be combined seamlessly with all Schüco facades and windows.

From horizontal pivot windows in panorama format to asymmetrical vertical pivot windows at full height, Schüco offers a new system solution focused on user comfort. The new profile and structure of the equipment impresses with the innovation concept integrated with a central seal and a concealed pivot pin. Another new function is that the Schüco horizontal and vertical pivoting sash locking technology can optionally be equipped with burglary protection up to RC 3. To meet various thermal insulation requirements, four construction depths are available for horizontal and vertical pivoting sashes, up to a maximum of 90 mm.
